Design

The design of the Motorola Edge 60 Pro has not deviated too much from the previous generation Edge 50 Series. Continuing its collaboration with Pantone, Motorola offers the Edge 60 Pro in three distinct and expressive finishes that cater to a wide range of personal styles.

The “Shadow” variant features a premium vegan leather texture, lending the device a refined, professional look with a soft, tactile feel. For users drawn to bold aesthetics, the “Dazzling Blue” model stands out with a unique nylon-like surface that adds both visual and textural flair. Meanwhile, “Sparkling Grape” introduces a shimmering, light-catching finish that exudes personality and elegance.

The Motorola Phone has a curved glass that seamlessly blends into the side rails, creating a visually continuous surface that adds to the phone’s premium presence. Despite its svelte form, the device never feels fragile; rather, it strikes a compelling balance between delicacy and durability.

In terms of dimensions, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro is comfortably sized at 160.7 x 73.1 x 8.2 mm, striking a balance between being large enough to showcase its expansive 6.7-inch pOLED display while remaining slim and easy to hold.

Weighing in at just 186g, it feels solid without being too heavy, allowing for extended use without strain. Despite its size, the device maintains a sleek, premium feel, thanks to its ergonomic design and well-placed buttons that ensure accessibility without compromising the device’s streamlined appearance.

The front has a large 6.7-inch display, with the ultra-thin bezels making the display feel almost uninterrupted. The small, centered punch-hole for the front camera adds to the minimalist, clean look, drawing attention to the screen rather than distracting from it.

Furthermore, the rear camera module is well-designed, housed in a polished rectangular island that subtly protrudes but doesn’t disrupt the clean lines of the back panel. The three-camera setup is neatly arranged, with the lenses placed in a configuration that avoids any clutter, further emphasizing the phone’s sophisticated appearance. This camera arrangement, though slightly raised, doesn’t feel excessively bulky and blends well with the overall design language.

In addition, this device has MIL-STD-810H certification, which provides assurance against drops, vibrations, and extreme environmental conditions. This kind of rugged reliability is rare in this price segment, making the Edge 60 Pro not just stylish but genuinely durable. Additionally, IP68 water and dust resistance adds another layer of protection, making it a phone you can confidently take out in unpredictable weather or dusty environments.

Meanwhile, the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge, while the USB Type-C port, SIM tray, and speaker grille are cleanly aligned along the bottom edge, contributing to the overall symmetry of the design.

Display

The display on the Motorola Edge 60 Pro is one of its most impressive features and plays a central role in delivering a flagship-level experience. It boasts a 6.7-inch curved pOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution (1220 x 2712 pixels), striking an excellent balance between sharp detail and power efficiency. The display curvature blends seamlessly into the edges of the phone, not only enhancing its premium aesthetic but also creating a more immersive viewing experience, especially when consuming video content or playing games.

Furthermore, the 92.2% screen-to-body ratio enhances immersion by minimizing bezels and maximizing the usable display area, further amplified by the elegant curved edges that blend into the phone’s frame.

One of the standout aspects of this screen is its peak brightness. Reaching up to a staggering 4,500 nits, it’s among the brightest displays available in any smartphone category, flagship or otherwise. This level of brightness ensures outstanding visibility in all lighting conditions, including direct sunlight. Whether you’re navigating outdoors, watching HDR videos, or simply scrolling through social media, the screen remains vivid, legible, and punchy.

Color reproduction is rich and vibrant, with deep blacks and strong contrast that you’d expect from an OLED panel. Thanks to Motorola’s tuning and Pantone’s color accuracy standards, colors appear both lively and true-to-life. This makes the Edge 60 Pro not only great for media consumption but also suitable for tasks where color precision is important, such as photo editing or digital artwork.

The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring ultra-smooth scrolling, fast UI transitions, and a highly responsive feel in daily use. This is particularly noticeable when navigating through apps, swiping menus, or gaming. Motorola also includes support for HDR10+ content, enhancing compatible streaming media with expanded dynamic range and better contrast between light and dark elements.

Additionally, this display has Widevine L1 and HDR10+ certification, which ensures that the device delivers enhanced contrast and deeper blacks, perfect for streaming high-definition content on platforms like YouTube and Amazon Prime Video. However, Netflix HDR isn’t supported at the time of review, though this may be addressed in future updates.

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro features wet touch technology (Smart Water Touch 3.0), allowing you to use the touchscreen even when your fingers are wet, a handy feature for those who often use their phones in humid environments or during rainy days.

Touch response is quick and accurate, making the device feel snappy and fluid at all times. The in-display fingerprint sensor is integrated beneath the screen and performs reliably, with fast unlocking and minimal errors.

To protect this high-quality display, Motorola equips the Edge 60 Pro with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. This adds an important layer of durability, helping to guard against scratches and minor drops while maintaining clarity and touch sensitivity.

Camera

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro boasts an impressively versatile and capable camera system, thoughtfully engineered to deliver premium imaging performance across a variety of scenarios. It sports a triple rear and a single front-facing camera.

The main rear sensor is a 50MP wide-angle lens with an f/1.8 aperture and a relatively large 1/1.56″ sensor size, which, when paired with multi-directional phase detection autofocus and optical image stabilization (OIS), ensures quick focusing and sharp results, even in dynamic or low-light environments.

This sensor produces high-resolution images with excellent detail, rich contrast, and natural color balance. The use of OIS greatly aids in stabilizing handheld shots, reducing blur, and enabling longer exposures in challenging lighting without sacrificing clarity.

One of the major strengths of this camera is its color accuracy, enhanced by Pantone Validated Colour and Skin Tone calibration. This ensures that colors, especially skin tones, are rendered with true-to-life fidelity, avoiding oversaturation or unnatural warmth, which is a subtle but significant improvement for both portrait photography and general use. The color spectrum sensor further enhances white balance and dynamic range, helping to produce images that appear balanced and realistic across various lighting environments.

The telephoto lens adds another layer of versatility with a 10MP sensor, featuring a 73mm focal length equivalent and 3x optical zoom. This f/2.0 lens allows users to get closer to their subjects without compromising image quality, and like the main lens, it includes OIS and PDAF for steady and sharply focused zoomed-in shots. It’s particularly effective for portrait photography, where the longer focal length naturally compresses the background, giving a pleasing bokeh effect even without relying on software processing.

Complementing the setup is a 50MP ultrawide lens with a 120˚ field of view. While ultrawide cameras often suffer from softness and edge distortion, Motorola’s implementation is noticeably better.

This camera also features phase detection autofocus, which means subjects remain sharp, even toward the edges of the frame, and the high resolution allows for rich detail capture across the entire image. It’s well-suited for architecture, landscape, and creative wide-angle shots, offering more flexibility than typical ultrawide sensors.

Video recording on the Motorola Edge 60 Pro is equally capable, supporting 4K video at 30fps and full HD at up to 240fps for slow-motion. The footage is clean, detailed, and well-stabilized thanks to both OIS and gyro-based electronic image stabilization (EIS).

Furthermore, with HDR10+ video support, dynamic range is noticeably expanded—bright areas retain detail without blowing out, and shadows hold subtle textures, making the phone excellent for both casual vlogging and more serious mobile video production.

On the front, the selfie camera continues the high-resolution trend with a 50MP sensor and an f/2.0 aperture. Despite the small pixel size (0.64µm), it performs admirably under good lighting, capturing crisp, vibrant selfies with accurate skin tones, again benefiting from Motorola’s Pantone color calibration.

In lower light, performance is decent, though noise begins to creep in. Thankfully, the camera handles exposure well, and HDR helps maintain balanced highlights and shadows in tricky lighting.

It also supports 4K video at 30fps and slow-motion video at 1080p/120fps, making it a great option for content creators or anyone who regularly uses the front camera for social or professional use.

Hardware and Software

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme, a high-performance 4nm chip designed to compete with the top-tier Snapdragon 7 and 8 series.

It is built with an octa-core configuration, thus featuring a powerful single-core Cortex-A715 clocked at 3.35 GHz, three additional Cortex-A715 performance cores at 3.2 GHz, and four efficient Cortex-A510 cores at 2.2 GHz. This processor delivers both speed and smart energy management.

In real-world use, it feels snappy, responsive, and capable of handling intensive tasks such as high-resolution gaming, multitasking, and 4K video recording without stuttering. Everyday tasks, such as app switching, web browsing, and multitasking, feel snappy, and the phone handles demanding games like Call of Duty Mobile or Genshin Impact with respectable frame rates, although not quite on par with flagship-tier processors like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The accompanying Mali-G615 MC6 GPU ensures solid graphics rendering for most mobile games and multimedia tasks, though at very high settings, you may notice minor frame dips.

It handles modern 3D games at medium to high settings with stable frame rates, while maintaining good thermal control, thanks in part to the efficiency of the 4nm fabrication process. The GPU also supports advanced visual features like HDR rendering and the Vulkan API, which improves performance in supported games.

When it comes to storage and memory, Motorola offers multiple high-speed configurations. The Edge 60 Pro comes in 256GB + 8GB RAM, 256GB + 12GB RAM, and 512GB + 12GB RAM variants, all using UFS 4.0 storage.

UFS 4.0 is a notable upgrade over UFS 3.1, offering significantly faster read/write speeds, which translates into quicker app loading, faster file transfers, and a more responsive experience overall.

The RAM—LPDDR5—is equally fast and efficient, enabling seamless multitasking with plenty of overhead for background processes. However, there’s no support for expandable storage via microSD, so users will need to be conscious of their chosen variant’s capacity.

The 5G phone ships with Android 14 out of the box, running Motorola’s lightweight MyUX skin. This UI sticks close to stock Android, with thoughtful additions like Moto Gestures (e.g., double chop for flashlight, twist for camera) that enhance usability without adding bloat.

Motorola also promises three years of OS updates and four years of security patches, a much-welcomed improvement that puts it in line with more software-committed brands. The interface is clean, fast, and easy to navigate, perfect for users who appreciate a near-pure Android experience.

Additionally, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro packs a 6000mAh silicon-carbon (Si/C) lithium-ion battery, and it’s one of the most compelling power setups on any modern smartphone. The use of silicon-carbon battery chemistry is a significant leap over traditional lithium-ion cells. Screen-on time typically ranges from 6 to 7 hours, even with 120Hz refresh enabled. Whether you’re streaming videos, gaming, or browsing social media, the phone holds up well.

The Android phone is equipped with 90W wired fast charging, which can go from 0 to 100% in just around 35 minutes. This is one of the fastest charging systems available at this price point. It also supports 15W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging, which adds significant convenience for users who own wireless accessories or other Qi-compatible devices.

In terms of connectivity, the Edge 60 Pro is thoroughly modern. It supports 5G (SA/NSA), Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC, making it well-equipped for both current and future network environments. Dual SIM support is available in select regions, and call quality, signal strength, and data speeds are all consistently strong. There’s also USB-C 3.1 for fast data transfer and OTG support, but, like many modern phones, there’s no 3.5mm headphone jack.
